The Arvigo Techniques of Maya Abdominal Therapy®
What is Arvigo®?
What to expect?
The Arvigo Techniques of Maya Abdominal Therapy® (ATMAT) is a traditional Mayan form of therapy passed down from a traditional H’men (traditional healer) in Belize named Don Elijio Panti who passed his healing wisdom on to Dr Rosita Arvigo who has passed on her learning to the West and rippled out globally.
This work strives to bring homeostasis and set to improve hemodynamics, by stimulating circulation. This freeing of flow for blood, lymph, nerve and energy gives the body permission and space to find balance.
By working deeply into the diaphragm we can impact all the bodies systems. There’s a reason why the wellness community encourages to BREATHE! The first initial appointment (allow two and half hours) will teach you why and the what of each part of the therapy to empower you in understanding your own body. Then you will learn some self care techniques to take home, continuing the benefits of this bodywork therapy.
The Arvigo® Techniques are unique in that they are a combination of ancient wisdom with a modern interpretation from Dr Rosita Arvigo who was the first to bring this work to modern attention.
